We Hire and Sell tents.

The tents section is one of the oldest accounts at the KVM complex. It has now been operating for more than a decade. They were originally designed to meet the needs of the Aid agencies supplying Rwanda and Burundi in 1993 / 94 where there was a need to store massive quantities of grain to feed displaced populations.

What are Dome Tents?

The Tents made in Kenya by KVM, are known as the Dome Tents. They can be hired or sold at reasonable fees.

The tents are in stock and ready for quick delivery with no problems of delay due to transport, shipping or customs difficulties. Thus our prices are unbeatable compared to our local and overseas competitors

The Dome tents combines the best of engineering and design for stability due to KVMs long history of quality auto production.

They are of 5 types, namely:

• Portadomes
• Megadomes
• Navedomes
• Hyperdomes
• Octonave

Some of their key features are:

• They can be ordered in any size
• Are cheap to hire or even acquire
• Can easily and quickly be assembled.
• Can hold a large number of people, usually 1000 to 5000
• Structures are made of steel frames
• Both steel structures and covers contain quality automotive finish
• They dont have posts to support them from within thus have no internal barriers.

Pricing

We have kept our prices constant, but due to inflation have from time to time marginal price variances ranging between 5% to 10%.

Hiring of KVM Dome Tents

Hire charge includes the expertise of K.V.M.s build team to erect and tear down each tent. The hire is based on 3 customer use days. Additional customer use days are charged per day. Each requires an installation time of 2 days and tear down of one day. So a standard hire charge will be based on 6 days. Additional use days are charged at a daily rate. Special rates for prolonged hire can be arranged. Prices are quoted in Kenya shillings and are exclusive of VAT.

TRANSPORT

For transport, if you do require, KVM will deliver and collect your tent.

Transport charges:

- within Nairobi Kshs 15,000
- outside Nairobi Kshs 15,000+ Kshs 80/-per Km
- customers own transport nil fee

K.V.M. has a reputation countrywide as one of the best providers of Tents for hires and sale. There are now tented churches everywhere, as congregations have a clear view of the pulpit due to the lack of internal supports.
K.V.M.s tents have in the past served Total the Motor Show, the Rhino Charge, Kisima awards at the Carnivore, Constitutional talks in Mombasa and most recent "Smirnoff Experience" event at the carnivore grounds.

MAINTENANCE

K.V.M. Will transport, erect, inspect and maintain the customers tent as per the customers wish. Each customer is given attention to the fullest.
